Existing Clients return, offering repeat work where some prices are negotiated. Tenders typically range from £250k - £10m, the sweet spot is circa. £3-4m. Working alongside various established Tier 1 Main Contractors, sectors include Residential, Commercial, Hotels, Mission Critical and Healthcare.
You will take full responsibility for all aspects of the tender from initial enquiry to submittal.
You will attend pre, mid and post tender meetings. This role will suit an aspiring Mechanical Estimator who may be restricted in their current role and keen to step up where career progression will be encouraged.

As a Mechanical Estimator you should be ambitious, hardworking and keen to develop your career to achieve Lead Estimator / Estimating Manager. status.
You will take responsibility for all aspects of a tender from enquiry to submittal. Projects could be a Pipework Package through to a complete Mechanical scheme ranging from £1-10m typically within Commercial, Residential, Mixed-Use and Healthcare schemes.
This role will suit an aspiring Estimator looking to step up or a seasoned Estimator who can demonstrate leadership whose next role is Estimating Manager.

Assistant Mechanical and Electrical Estimators - Suffolk

Working alongside the Head of Estimating for a turnkey M&E Contractor based near Newmarket in Suffolk, you will be fully supported by Senior Estimators in the preparation and submittal of tenders typically ranging from £200k - £10m. In-house training and external courses will also be offered.
The business has been particularly successful in securing many new projects in 2021 and have an extremely healthy pipeline of enquires and secured work moving forward.
You will live within North Essex, Cambridgeshire and be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the Estimating including determining material and labour costs (as well as overheads), preparing and submitting project bids.
Duties will include:
· Identifying and building up cost estimates by analysing the materials and labour needed to complete projects.
· Liaising and communicating effectively with customers, suppliers and sub-contractors.
· Reviewing residential, industrial and commercial building plans in order to determine the Mechanical or Electrical needs of a project.
· Reviewing supplier prices in order to determine how much each individual element costs and then negotiating to establish the best prices.
· Ability to analyse and assess multiple data points, including drawings, material costs and timelines to deliver an accurate estimate on time and within budget.
· High analytical and mathematical skills which requires an estimator to ensure that their calculations are accurate and correct to keep jobs profitable.
· Determining the potential profitability of projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions.

You will be computer literate and confident in preparing and submitting Electrical tenders from £250K to £2M for the small works division or be an Estimator who enjoys pricing larger Electrical projects to £15M for the major projects department.
Sectors are varied and include Commercial (Fit out & Shell & Core), Mixed-Use, Residential and Listed Buildings.
