Energy and Sustainability Engineer - To £35K Training Equity Autonomy

Looking to develop your skills and experience within the Energy and Sustainability industry as a Non Domestic Energy Assessor or TM44 Air Conditioning Inspector?

Working closely with the Founder, you'll be responsible for energy modelling, producing non-domestic Level 3 and 4 EPC's (Energy Performance Certificates) using Design Builder or IESVe and also assisting with Level 4 TM44 ACI's (Air Conditioning Inspections).

You'll work on a range of commercial buildings such as offices, retail parks and industrial projects across London, the South East and the Midlands and benefit from ongoing training.

As a specialist Energy and Sustainability Consultancy they provide expertise across the full suite of carbon reduction and energy saving initiatives such as Energy Audits, Renewable Energy feasibility studies, ESOS assessments, EPC's, Life Cycle Assessments and Air Conditioning Inspections.

In addition to their ongoing project work, they also have established frameworks in place with blue chip clients such as TFL, the NHS, MoD and a number of the leading REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) and hence can provide you with job security.


  • Ideally a Degree or background in Building Services Engineering.
  • Familiar with BRUKL and Energy and Sustainability Statements.
  • Able to use Design Builder, iSBEM, IESVe, TAS.
  • Previous experience carrying out non domestic EPC's is essential.
  • Accredited Level 3 and 4 Non-Domestic Energy Assessor via Stroma, CIBSE, Elmhurst or Quidos or similar.
  • Ideally some previous experience carrying out Level 3 and 4 TM44 Air Conditioning Inspections.
  • Valid Driving licence


  • Support for you to become an Accredited as a Level 3 and 4 Air Conditioning Inspector.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - To £60K Package

Established from a desire to deliver a truly integrated and sustainable turn-key solution, this Design and Build Contractor are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for their well-established inhouse MEP Design Team.

Working with the in-house team of Architects, Civil and Structural Engineers, Project Managers and Construction Managers you'll design, lead and manage numerous complex Education, Healthcare, Scientific and Industrial projects.

With a track record of delivering complex projects across the globe; this role will appeal to an individual seeking stability, concept to completion involvement and the opportunity of designing cutting edge solutions for complex projects.

Key duties;

  • Liaising with clients, establishing briefs and then agreeing deliverables
  • Producing detailed designs of HVAC systems and the associated pipework
  • Leading engineers to achieve project timescales
  • Co-ordinating with other disciples to ensure other services don't clash
  • Reviewing design philosophies and developing HVAC / PH services strategies
  • Representing the client at external meetings

BREEAM Assessor

£29999 - £40000 per annum Flexible working hours and remote working

BREEAM Assessor and Sustainability Consultant - To £40K - Bedfordshire or London

This multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy has always considered Sustainability to be at the heart of any design, rather than just an afterthought or a bolt on.

Offering Civil, Structural, Environmental, Energy and Sustainability services to their clients, they provide an integrated solution to low or zero carbon energy building design.

As a BREEAM Assessor you'll be involved in the full BREEAM lifecycle from Pre-Assessments to Post construction (PCS) on a range of mixed use, healthcare, commercial, education and residential schemes.

You'll analyse the proposed energy and water use, materials, internal environment, transport systems and infrastructure, site waste and pollution on any new project and ensure all future developments tread more lightly on the planet.

Main Duties

  • Carry out BREEAM assessments and ensure all evidence is found or provided and understood.
  • Produce energy and sustainability strategy reports.
  • Assist the Sustainability team with passive design, energy modelling or and LCA.
  • Uploading data and evidence to Tracker Plus.
  • Keep abreast of sustainable building design, renewables, low carbon technology or phase change materials.
  • Research and promote, Sustainable design best practices across the group.
  • Assist the Sustainability team with passive design, energy modelling or and LCA.
  • Undertake CPD's and both internal and external training.
  • Carrying out R&D regarding retrofit solutions so that the UK can meet our NZC targets.


  • Qualified BREEAM Assessor with at least two years' experience; or a qualified BREEAM with at least three years' experience.
  • Previous experience working for a sustainability, energy, building services or multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.
  • Good understanding of other methodologies such as Passivhaus, Nabers, LEED or Well.
