As a result, they are now looking for a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer who is able to work on a range of complex projects from inception, through to detailed design and handover. In addition to HVAC Design you will also have the opportunity of assisting with passive design, energy strategies, above ground drainage ensuring you develop a true understanding of how a building goes together and how MEP services integrate with other disciplines.

Based in their stunning and spacious London Studio offering waterfront views and loads of natural light, you will get involved in a number of exciting projects including a £50 million mixed use development, £14M Hotel project (Refurbishment), £15 million luxury residential project (New build) and a range of smaller commercial, listed and education projects.

Reporting to a Director or Associate Director you will be responsible for leading projects, producing calculations, specifications and reports and attending client and design team meetings. Although this is a hands-on design role you will have access to a team of three Intermediate Mechanical Engineers to assist you with calculations, IES modelling and Revit ensuring your time is utilised effectively and that you are not having to work overtime.

Due to ongoing growth, I'm looking for an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join the Building Services department of this medium sized, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.

You'll enjoy working on a fascinating range of projects including hotels on behalf of the Hilton, Fit Outs on behalf of the Royal Academy of Dance, large scale masterplans or regeneration projects as well as a range of universities and schools.

As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for all the usual day-to-day duties including both office and site-based duties, liaising with clients, suppliers and with colleagues throughout the company.

Duties

  • Carry out conceptual design studies producing design schemes and deliverables such as design philosophies. (includes but not limited to: lighting, fire alarm, small power, general services and LV board and distribution design)
  • Carry out detailed electrical engineering including preparation of calculations and drawings for the full range of electrical building services design
  • Review submissions and installations for compliance with design intent and good engineering practice.
  • Witness commissioning activities, trials and factory acceptance tests for compliance with design intent.
  • Provide support to proposals as required.
  • Liaise with the other inhouse disciplines.
  • Manage your own time to ensure you produce your deliverables on time.

Requirements
