Reporting to a Partner you'll manage the electrical team, manage projects, help maintain key client relationships and also provide input into design on complex projects.

Senior Fire Engineer To £60K Package Profit Share

I'm working with a global Building Services Consultancy to find them a Senior Fire Engineer for their London office. In addition to moving to a larger office in London, they have also opened up two new global offices and are expecting to double in size as a practice over the next two years.

As a Senior Fire Engineer, you'll receive full support from the Directors and become a key member of their Senior Management and be instrumental in the future success and direction of the Fire engineering team. Key Tasks

  • Developing fire safety strategies on projects from RIBA Stages 1 to 7 and ensuring projects meet local and international fire safety codes.
  • Promoting active and passive fire protection systems including sprinkler system design.
  • Carry out fire safety calculations and using a range of computer software to analyse, predict and model the spread of fire.
  • Develop suitable strategies to deal with means of escape and to control smoke.
  • Incident management & emergency planning,
  • Assisting with Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling.
  • Carrying out fire risk assessments.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

£39999 - £54999 per annum Package, Bonus, Progression to Principal

Senior Mechanical Engineer To £55K Package - London

As a Senior Mechanical (HVAC) Design Engineer you'll enjoy working on a variety of projects including commercial offices, five-star hotels and large scale residential led, mixed-used developments.

Reporting to a Chartered Mechanical Director, you'll be mentored so that you can step up into a Principal role in the next 12 - 24 months.

As a medium sized, multi-disciplinary consultancy you'll be working closely with the inhouse Civil, Structural and Sustainability Engineers and ensure your HVAC designs are properly coordinated. You'll use your own initiative and project management skills to ensure projects remain on track, both technically and also from a financial control point of view.

You'll take a lead role technically for all Mechanical projects, help mentor the team, attend DTM's and presentations, assist with resource allocation and fee proposals and agree any additional fees or variations with the client.

Key Duties

  • Provide design input for all complex HVAC systems design.
  • Meet clients on key projects and present technical solutions.
  • Attend internal and external review and progress meetings
  • Prepare calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications and other documents relating to each project's designs
  • Understand resources requirements, risk and technical quality to ensure delivery of effective solutions.
  • Plan and execute work packages
  • Ensure all HVAC designs are rigorously checked and meet the clients requirements
  • Ensure that all mechanical engineering practices on site are kept up to date and within UK safety legislation.
  • Provide specialist technical advice and guidance on mechanical issues.
  • Ensure consistency of approach across packages.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.
  • Minimum of five years' experience working in a consultancy or design and build contractor.
  • Able to lead projects from feasibility to construction.
  • Able to use IES or Hevacomp.
