Job Description

Director Building Performance Design - London - £70K to £90K Pkg 13% Pension, BUPA c.30% Annual Bonus

Human Capital Solutions is working on a unique opportunity in the market to source a Building Performance Leader to play a key role in leading and developing a newly formed Building Performance team within one of the world's leading global Property Consultancies.

With approximately 40% of carbon emissions arising from property, our client recognises the urgent necessity to work with their own client base, to improve environmental performance of their large portfolios of existing buildings.

Our client recognises that the biggest challenge is not purely within new developments, where environmental sustainability neutrality can be achieved at a cost, but stripping emissions out of existing buildings. Aiming to retrofit buildings to improve environmental performance rather than to knock down and start again. Harnessing the rural sector, sourcing renewable energy, designing in sustainable transport and eliminating waste streams to remove emissions.

They are looking to assist their clients in all aspects of operational improvements, thus reducing the carbon footprint of their building stock, helping them to address climate change with schemes that can avoid a negative impact.

The new Building Performance team will sit alongside and work with an established and hugely successful M&E Asset Engineering team (TDD, Dilapidations, M&E Surveying) and a growing M&E Design & Projects team.

You will be hands on, delivering projects and will involve working closely with the senior management, to build and grow the Building Performance team.

Person:

We are looking for an individual who currently specialises in building performance improvement across all aspects of sustainability, particularly carbon emissions. An individual who is committed and dedicated to building and developing a team that will have a significant impact on building performance and carbon emissions reductions within commercial buildings across the UK.

An individual with experience of Sustainability, Carbon Strategy and Operational Improvement within existing building stock and operational portfolios.

Candidates should be passionate about all aspects of building performance, an individual who understands legislation and new technologies that can be used to make a building more efficient.

An individual who understands the smart buildings technologies in FM, data driven and moving away from fixed schedules towards performance based maintenance.

You will be expected to be client facing at a level where you are comfortable pitching building performance solutions to clients independently across their large portfolio of blue-chip clients across a range of sectors including Commercial, Retail Industrial, Residential, Healthcare,

Summary:

A unique and significant career opportunity for an individual who is looking for a role in which they can build and shape their own future.

The successful candidate will hold a key position with the group as it grows and develops. The role will also give you an opportunity to gain an understanding of the commercial property sector that will set you apart from your peers, within a business where there are no barriers to your career progression.

Alongside a competitive salary you will receive a top-level package and a bonus structure of circa 50% of salary that is unrivalled in the industry.

If this role interests you, please get in touch for a confidential discussion about the opportunity and its potential.
