Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Oxfordshire - To £50K Package, Progression and Profit Share.


This MEP Design and Sustainability Consultancy were so successful at winning repeat business that they didn't even need to have a website for their first decade of trading.


Now entering their 20th year of trading (and yes, they do have a website!) they are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to help drive the practice forward. Ideally, they would like someone who wants to take over the business in the next 5 - 10 years which will allow their two founding directors to take a step back.

Here, you'll get involved in both new build and complex refurbishment projects that span the education, commercial, residential, industrial, and healthcare sectors.

    Ideally, they would like someone with at least four years' experience in Electrical Design, who is familiar with Revit.

    Due to planned growth, I have a Mechanical Associate role available with a Design and Build Contractor that specialises in mission critical projects.

    With a proud history dating back to as early as 1840, they are involved in every aspect of design, engineering, project management and construction.

    As a Mechanical Associate, you'll work directly alongside their Director of Engineering and essentially take over the day to day running of their Mechanical (HVAC) team.

    You'll be actively involved in projects from feasibility, through design and into construction, and the majority of the projects you design will go to construction.

    Whether it's helping develop new cancer fighting drugs, developing a Covid Vaccine, or improving healthcare facilities for our aging population, the projects you work on will no doubt have a huge positive impact on society.

    And rather than subcontracting out work, where you lose the ability to control cost and quality, here everything is done inhouse which allows them to provide a true, turn-key solution to their clients.

    Requirements

    • At least 8 years' experience as a Mechanical (HVAC) Design Engineer.
    • Previous experience within a consultancy, or design and build contractor.
    • Track record in leading projects from concept to construction.
    • Able to design, manage, lead, and deliver profitable projects.

    Over the last decade they developed a fully functioning, in-house M&E Consultancy that feeds of the M&E work that occurs across their client's buildings and portfolio's - full Project Management & Detailed Design (stages 0-7).

    Uniquely, they have access to their own client base and do not have to competitively tender for projects, resulting in a less pressurised environment and providing the financial resources to recruit into the M&E team when needed rather than expecting employees to shoulder more pressure and work excessive hours.

    Essentially, a client-side role that will give you direct access to clients, working on the client's behalf as part of the client team as the clients representative. Offering you direct access to clients thinking and an unprecedented insight into the clients psyche and the drivers behind commercial property ownership.

    They have an established team of experienced M&E Engineers, from which to continue your leaning and development. There is structured training for all employees to CEng and a clear route of progression.

    The earning potential is in excess of that in design consultancy, with a great salary and an excellent package, including annual bonus of circa 15% of salary and opportunities for CPD and career growth that are exponential.
