Electrical Design Engineer - Glasgow - to £37K Package

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer (Electrical Building Services) with 3/4 years' experience looking for real career development, progression and job security.

Working under an experienced Management Team you will be responsible for the following;

  • Producing design calculations, design drawings, diagrams, schematics, specifications and equipment schedules
  • Ensuring all designs are energy efficient and comply with current building regulations
  • Liaising with architects, clients, structural engineers and monitoring contractors
  • Attending and contributing to design team meetings
  • Liaising with in-house specialist teams / engineers

The ideal Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer will have 3/4 years' experience, be technically proficient, confident in their current knowledge and wish to develop their career as far as possible.

You will be expected to contribute on projects from an Electrical Design perspective, be able to design, specify and integrate renewable technologies and must you be able to develop your own projects from concept / feasibility stage, through design and construction to commissioning and handover.

You'll partner with end users and clients provide innovative and sustainable electrical engineering solutions that meet or exceed their expectations, and design systems that are easy to install, access and maintain.

You'll enjoy working on complex and challenging projects typically from feasibility, through construction and even post occupancy and use the lessons learnt on each project to then drive continuous innovation and improvement on your next project.

    Requirements

    • 3 years' experience in HVAC design, within a consultancy environment.
    • Able to produce calculations, specifications, and technical reports (typically for RIBA Stages 2-4a)
    • Previous experience leading smaller projects.
    • Advanced knowledge of HVAC and an awareness of CHP, Energy Networks, District Heating, Operational Energy and Passivhaus or BREEAM.
