Principal Electrical Engineer - To £75K Package Progression within 12 months.

Ready to step up into an Associate Director or Technical role within 12 months?

Due to growth, I'm looking for a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join a three hundred strong, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in London office.

Reporting to the M&E Director (a down to earth, supportive and level headed individual) you'll lead projects from RIBA Stages 2-4a and help manage the electrical team (currently 2 x Seniors, 1 x Intermediate and 1 x Junior).

Supported by their Electrical Director as and when required, you'll enjoy a lot of autonomy, a hybrid policy (3/2 split between office and home) and regular social activities.

Interacting with the other inhouse Civil, Structural, Energy, Electrical and Public Health Engineers you'll get involved in an interesting range of projects. Some of their recently completed projects ( from their London office) include Royal Wharf London (£2B development), the new HQ for Royal Academy of Dance, a major decarbonisation strategy for a listed castle and even an airport facility in Bermuda!

You'll have a choice of two career paths; and be able to move into an Associate Director or more of a Technical Director role within 12 months. However, if you'd prefer to stay at a Principal level, then that's also OK, there won't be any pressure to move up into a management role.

Key requirements

  • Strong technically with at least seven (7) years' experience in the design of electrical, building services.
  • Previous experience working for a consultancy or design and build contractor.
  • Broad range of project experience to include residential, education, commercial and mixed-use.
  • Able to lead projects and lead a team of engineers.
