Job Description

I'm looking for a creative Intermediate Mechanical Engineer with at least two years' experience for an innovative, employee owned international Building Services Consultancy located in London.

Based in their vibrant, open plan London studio in the heart of the London's design district, you will collaborate closely with signature architects on unique, landmark projects across the UK, Europe and SE Asia and Africa.

Offering a clear route to Senior in as little as a year, a flat structure, a fascinating range of projects and no office politics, this role will appeal to a creative Intermediate Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about designing architecturally pleasing, low and zero carbon buildings.

As a key member of the Mechanical team you will be able to influence projects from the earliest possible design stage and enjoy seeing your projects through to construction.

Key duties;

  • Designing, managing and delivery of projects from feasibility to practical completion.
  • Actively encourage out of the box thinking and seek to consistently achieve better performing buildings.
  • Developing an understanding of building physics, building services, environmental engineering and architecture.
  • Designing buildings that promote health and well-being and holistic MEP design.
  • Guide and mentor Graduate and Junior Engineers, allocate and delegate work to them.
  • Attend site and design team meetings.
  • Maintain an active role in the industry and attend industry events or workshops.

With over 80% of their required fee income already secured for the year, they are using this period of growth to focus on employing individuals

This role would suit an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer who wants to create award winning and innovative buildings by combining sound HVAC design principals, Building Physics and BIM methodologies.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Building Services, Architectural Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in Building Services.
  • Able to convoy concept designs using hand sketches.
  • Good understanding of high performance building design and BIM.

    I have a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join an international, MEP Design and Sustainability Consultancy based in London.

    Established over a decade ago, they are widely regarded as a leader in ESD / Green Building Design and launched a new London office in 2024, which has been a phenomenal success so far.

    Working with (i.e. not just working for) their Electrical Director, you'll be responsible for leading meetings, leading projects, and also assisting with fee bids and resource planning. You will be fully supported in the role, but not micromanaged. You'll see projects through from feasibility, design, all the way through to construction and post occupancy.

    This role will appeal to a Senior Electrical Engineer who enjoys autonomy and wants to have a huge influence over the future direction and success of the Electrical team.

    As you develop your own network and contacts (realistically over the next 6 - 12 months) you'll develop your own reputation and relationships with architects, contractors, managing agents and end users.

    You'll be rewarded with a basic salary up to £65K, an annual bonus of up to 10%, 25 days annual leave a hybrid working policy.

    Essential Requirements
    · 5 years' experience as an Electrical (Building Services) design engineer.
    · Previous experience working for a consultancy (ie Building Services, or multi-disciplinary)
    · Must be able to work in the UK without the need to be sponsored.
