Building Performance Engineer – To £45K + Package + Job Security
As a Building Performance Engineer / Building Physics Engineer you’ll become a key member of the dedicated Energy, Infrastructure and Sustainability team.
You’ll enjoy a diverse role as you use IESVe to model a variety of buildings across London and the Southeast. You’ll advise clients on areas such as energy efficiency, renewable and low carbon technologies, building certifications including NABERS, LEED, BREEAM and WELL and Net zero carbon buildings and strategies.
You’ll analyse how their clients’ buildings are currently operating; and then make recommendations about what they need to do by 2030, 2040 and 2050.
With 13 dedicated experts in this Sustainability team, you’ll have the opportunity to really develop your knowledge in existing buildings.
Rather than being pigeon-holed into just one area such as Energy (Building Physics) or Sustainability (Benchmarking), here you’ll be involved in everything from life cycle assessments, science based targets to green funds and loans.
This will ensure you become an expert in NZC building design and operation and have a good awareness of ESG strategy, embodied carbon and the circular economy.
Minimum Requirements:
- Advanced IESVe modelling skills
- Comfortable attending buildings and carrying out energy audits
- Good understanding of HVAC systems, ideally gained by working as a HVAC Design Engineer.
- Familiar with BREEAM, LEED, WELL or Fitwell
- Ideally familiar with One Click LCA, to carry out Life Cycle Assessments.
- Willing to work from the London office two days a week.
If you’re passionate about using your Building Physics skills ( in IESVe) to help clients achieve NZC operational buildings, please get in touch.
