Senior M&E Design Engineers – South Wales
Hybrid | £60–65k & Excellent Benefits Package
How does working around 34 days less each year than the industry norm sound?
I’m working with a privately owned, design-led Building Services Consultancy where the Engineers remain at the heart of the business — and where career progression isn’t simply something discussed at interview.
There’s a genuine route from Senior Engineer → Associate → Partner, with around 75% of the leadership team having been promoted internally.
Add a 35-hour working week, hybrid working and a strong emphasis on work/life balance, and this becomes a particularly interesting alternative for an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Design Engineer who feels lost within a larger corporate environment.
You’ll take ownership of projects from concept through to completion across schemes ranging from approximately £2m–£200m, including Healthcare, Commercial, Residential and Ministry of Justice projects.
You’ll work closely with specialist Energy Modelling and Digital Engineering teams while contributing to sustainable, low-energy and Net Zero solutions.
Development is equally important. You’ll have structured CIBSE-approved training, a dedicated mentor and access to a hands-on leadership team who remain actively involved in projects.
What’s on offer?
You’ll need proven Building Services Consultancy experience together with strong Mechanical or Electrical technical design capability and the confidence to take ownership of projects.
If you’re looking for career progression without sacrificing your life outside work, this is certainly worth a conversation.
