These are the words of a Mechanical Engineer I found work for talking about the Client:
“The variety, size and complexity of projects are fantastic. I’ve been lucky enough to work on schools, colleges, universities, research facilities, hospitals, super-prime residential and offices.”
“They are supportive in every way. Directors actively encourage me to complete CPDs and have paid for me to complete several courses.”
“You have easy access to the Partners, Directors and Associates. If I need to ask a question, I can just phone them or ask them. I don’t need to send an email to then book a Teams meeting, everyone is always there to help.”
I think that says far more about an employer than I ever could.
If you are a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer with 5+ years’ experience and a recognised industry qualification (BEng / BSc / MEng), ideally gained within an established MEP Consultancy, this could be an excellent opportunity to enjoy exactly the environment described above.
You should have a strong working knowledge of mechanical building services design, including heat loss/gain, U-values, pipe and pump sizing, duct and fan sizing, psychometrics, control valve sizing and thermal modelling.
A good understanding of Building Regulations, particularly Part L and Part B, together with experience of AutoCAD, Revit and model-checking software, would also be expected.
