The Role

You will play a pivotal role in the leadership, technical delivery and continued development of the Electrical Division.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, managing and mentoring Electrical Design Engineers from Junior through to Senior level.
• Taking technical responsibility for electrical building services design from initial concept through to project completion.
• Delivering a varied portfolio of projects ranging from £2m to £200m across Healthcare, Commercial, Residential and Ministry of Justice sectors.
• Working closely with clients, fellow engineers and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Helping develop the Electrical Division, supporting its growth, technical standards and future direction.
• Promoting innovative, energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions with a strong Net Zero focus.
• Collaborating with specialist Energy Modelling and Digital Engineering teams.

Unlike some larger consultancies, where senior engineers can become removed from the actual design process, this role offers the opportunity to remain technically involved while developing your leadership and management responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring

You will be an experienced Senior, Principal or Associate Electrical Design Engineer with a proven track record within a Building Services Consultancy.

You’ll bring:

• Strong technical expertise in electrical building services design.
• Experience leading, managing or mentoring other Electrical Design Engineers.
• The confidence to take ownership of projects and develop client relationships.
• A proactive, commercially aware approach to engineering and project delivery.
• An interest in sustainable design, innovation and modern engineering solutions.
• The ambition to develop a division and ultimately progress towards Partnership.

You don’t necessarily need to be operating at Associate level already. An ambitious Senior or Principal Engineer with the right technical expertise, leadership qualities and commercial awareness would be equally welcome.

£70,000–£75,000 basic salary, plus an excellent benefits package including:
