The Opportunity

As part of their continued growth, this consultancy is now looking for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic design and engineering team. This is a great opportunity for someone with around a year of experience who’s eager to develop their design skills in a fully remote, innovative, and supportive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support the delivery of mechanical building services design solutions, contributing to all stages of engineering consultancy work
• Perform detailed calculations and assist in the accurate coordination of mechanical systems across projects
• Gain exposure to a diverse range of sectors, including commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, education, and leisure, across both public and private sector projects

Essential Requirements

• Must be a resident of the UK
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Minimum of one year’s experience in mechanical design, within building services consultancy or multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy
• Knowledge of UK mechanical regulations and standards
• Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD/Revit MEP and Hevacomp/IES VE
• Excellent communication and a collaborative, growth‑oriented attitude
