This fast-growing, privately-owned M&E Contractor (turnover £15m+) is looking for a Mechanically biased QS / Commercial Manager / Director to take the reins from their retiring Commercial Director. With plans for further growth – and shareholding on the table – this is your chance to shape the future of the business.

You’ll be leading the Commercial function on high-spec Commercial Fit-Out and Retrofit projects (£3–5m sweet spot), working closely with the board, clients, and project teams. This is a hands-on role where teamwork, collaboration, and ownership are valued every day.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and develop the Commercial team
• Be client-facing and manage Variations, Applications, Cost Reports, Sub-Contractor Orders, and P&L Reporting
• Work alongside Project Teams from Pre-Construction to Handover
• Drive commercial strategy while staying close to the detail

What you’ll bring:

• 10–15 years’ experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Building Services Sub-Contractor
• Strong Commercial background with a mechanical bias
• Relationship-builder who thrives on responsibility and making things happen
