I'm looking for a Graduate Mechanical (HVAC) Design Engineer for a medium sized, international multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in London.

As a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will assist with the design of HVAC (Including Hot and Cold Water Services) services on projects using Hevacomp and AutoCAD.

You will benefit from working closely under a Chartered Senior Engineer and the opportunity of attending site during the installation of HVAC services; this will allow you understand what you are designing and develop good spatial awareness.

Key Duties;

  • Production of HVAC design calculations for projects across RIBA stage 2 - 5.
  • Assist with duct sizing, pipe sizing, heat loss and heat gain calculations, pressure drop calculations and plant sizing.
  • Produce of Tender/Contract information (including layouts, specifications & schedules)
  • Attending design team meetings with contractors, client's or architects.
  • Checking Technical submittals from the Contractor.
  • Responding to the contractor RFI's or seeking assistance from an Intermediate or Senior Engineer.
  • Coordinate the HVAC design with the Electrical and Structural Engineers.
  • Attend site visits.

Requirements

  • Degree (Or HNC / HND) qualified in Building Services Engineering.
  • Or Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 6 months expeience in Building Services.

Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer - To £40K

I'm looking for an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer for a medium sized, international multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in London.

They are happy to consider an experienced Intermediate with around three to six years' experience; or a client facing Graduate with at least two years' experience in Building Services who is ready to step up into their first intermediate role.

As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer will assist with the design of all aspects of electrical building services on projects using Amtech, Dialux and AutoCAD.

You will benefit from working closely under a Chartered Principal Electrical Engineer and the opportunity of attending site during the installation stages of the projects. This will allow you understand what you are designing and develop good spatial awareness and appreciation for MEP co-ordination.

Key Duties;

  • Assist with LV distribution, internal and emergency lighting, fire detection and alarms systems, Access control, CCTV and lightning protection design.

I'm currently working with a high profile, MEP Design and Sustainability Consultancy based in Hertfordshire to find them a Revit MEP Technician.

They are open to either an experienced Revit MEP / Technician with around five years' experience in Building Services or a superstar with around one or two's experience who wants more responsibility and autonomy. They are looking for someone who is able to use Revit MEP, Navis works and has some previous experience in drawing file management, including document control.

Working in their BIM / Revit team of five individuals you will benefit from a structured training and development program, interesting and varied projects and a secure order book.

Reporting to the BIM Manager you will be responsible for producing fully coordinated drawings in Revit MEP for HVAC (Including water services / above ground drainage) and Electrical systems and containment and liaising with the Engineers to ensure all projects are properly designed and coordinated.

Key duties

  • Liaise with developers, architects and clients and provide strategic low energy design advice.
  • Conduct BREEAM Pre-Assessments and provide design advice.
  • Produce evidence requirements for BREEAM credits.
  • Monitor the design process to ensure that the scheme design objectives are being followed and the design reflects the client's overall requirements.
