Quantity Surveyor (Prime Residential) - Kensington & Chelsea

£55,000 - £65,000

We have a fantastic relationship with this specific Main Contractor who started out in the late 90’s and are known as a high-end quality builder. They pride themselves on retaining staff and have a fantastic family culture. With offices in the City of London, they are easily accessible, and all projects are within Zone 1-3.

At £20million in Turnover the term “Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity” is widely used across the business. The Directors pride themselves on repeat business and “Doing things the right way”. Projects include a mixture of High End Residential and Commercial Fit Out. The schemes are typically no bigger than £3million.

We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the business. Our client has picked up 2 projects from an architect they have worked with closely over the years and need a Quantity Surveyor who will start out working on a £2.5million Refurb of a Luxury Private home in the Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.

Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Issuing of tender packages
  • Sub contractor proposals
  • Completion and issuing of JCT sub contracts
  • Ongoing cost and contractual management of projects
  • Issuing payment certificates
  • Sub contractor meetings including pre-start
  • Client meetings, inclusive of application and variation meetings
  • Monthly cost reporting
  • Final accounts and cost negotiations

In return this is a great chance to join a Contractor that are traditional but great to work for. Are they the best payers in the industry? Probably not. However, if you want to work in a good environment on great projects then this is for you. They are paying up to £65,000 for this position. If you are sick of working for a Major contractor and looking for stability this could be for you. The team recently done a company trip to the slopes and if you enjoy a drink after work there is always someone to join you.
