Associate - Mechanical Building Services Engineer (Property Consultancy) Birmingham - £50K to £60K Package
This is a great opportunity for someone with a background from M&E consulting, who is potentially open to move into a commercial Real Estate environment.

Flexible working arrangements from home and office is available but applicants must be able and willing to travel to undertake site inspections as part of the role.

Their Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health (MEP) Engineering team who deliver traditional MEP design and consultancy services alongside surveying and project management activities with sustainable solutions at the core of their work.
They work across a diverse range of property services and are widely recognised one of Europe's leading real estate managers, with approximately €40 billion in assets.
Clients include government agencies, corporations, financial institutions and property companies from across the UK and Europe in the commercial, retail, healthcare, residential and leisure sectors.
Their Building Consultancy team are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer able to work with their surveying teams to survey, interrogate and report on the condition, opportunities and sustainable building engineering services solutions in property acquisition, development and disposal.
Requirements:
You should ideally have obtained Chartered Engineer status and/or MCIBSE OR MIET, however applicants with proven design experience in the M&E industry will be considered.
The successful candidate must have a proven ability to work within a team completing engineering reports, design, and site supervision.
You will be able to work alone, make decisions and be able to communicate with clients to provide professional advice, founded on his wide range of experiences in the commercial, retail, healthcare, residential and leisure sectors.
The ability to liaise and communicate effectively with clients is essential. As is the ability to support and explain engineering matters to the building surveyors who you will be working with.
In summary, you will be working as part of a property advisory team, contributing to the professional advice given to the client is respect of the investment, purchase or disposal of property.

You will be working as part of the mechanical design team to deliver projects from feasibility through to construction. This is a technical role and will enable you to work on all parts of the project from upfront strategic planning, right through to project management and implementation.
The role will give you the autonomy to lead projects, liaising directly with clients and working on the client's behalf to deliver projects inline with the targeted time scales and energy efficiency requirements.
Based in their Birmingham office and working directly with the Principal Engineer, you will be joining and M&E team of 12 engineers. The office is home to 60 employees, newly refurbished and open plan, so you will have the whole team around you for support.
As a business they strongly believe in supporting their staff to achieve their goals and encouraging promoting from within, so promotion to Senior would be supported when you asre ready.
