Client:

The Directors of this Surrey based Contractor close to Woking are making plans for their retirement over the next 4-6 years, the successful individual will have the opportunity to become a Director / Shareholder should they wish and assist in playing an integral role driving the business forward. For over 40 years this Client has successfully delivered projects within Commercial, Industrial, Banking and Public sectors with an excellent track record of repeat business from Clients who return and refer their services to others. Contract values range from £100k - £2m and include Design & Build and traditional Install. Each Design and CAD Drawing is produced in-house to the highest specifications, by Design Engineers with many years of experience and CAD staff utilising the latest industry software packages.

Individual:

You will hold a recognised industry qualification (HNC / HND / Degree) with 8-12 years Building Services experience. You will demonstrate the delivery of Mechanical Building Services Projects from inception to Handover.

    Site Based – Surrey (Kingston)

    There is no better time to join this privately owned M&E Contractor who have identified immediate plans for sustained and structured growth.

    You will play an integral part moving forward with a business boasting various active projects in London & The South and a pipeline for future work looking extremely positive.

    With a steady turnover of £30m, the owners are not strictly focused on just increasing turnover, but with recent appointments including an Operations Director and Senior Estimator, diversifying and fine tuning existing sectors and profit margins.

    Your initial Project will be based in Kingston Upon Thames. Site based working alongside the Pre-Construction team managing over 200 units with a Mechanical value of £6.5m. With the 2nd phase already within Design stage, there is a great chance this project will expand to 1000 units.

    You will be paid a salary circa. £75/80k depending on experience.

    Pension (4%).

    Bonus (Based on Company and Individual profit / performance).

    25 Days Annual Holiday.

    Are you a Mechanical (HVAC) Building Services Project Manager who can demonstrate a stable employment history working within Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences?

    Have you delivered a Project that has involved Hospitals / Healthcare, Laboratories or Cleanrooms?

    Been exposed to Medical Gasses, Contamination, Humidification, Pressure, Purified Water, Steam and Filters (HEPA or UPLA)?

    Reporting to the Building Services Project Director of a business that has delivered projects within these spaces for over 70 years, you will initially take responsibility as a Design Lead, taking the brief and overseeing the early Design stage confirming a smooth transition into the Construction phase Co-ordinating and Managing the MEP Building Services packages.

    There is flexibility as to where you work, either office based in Hertfordshire or site based typically twice a week where you will check the progress against the programme, check the quality of the Contractors installations and flag up any design issues to the MEP Design team and the Construction Managers.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Processing of change orders
    • Preparing and reviewing job cost reports
    • Submit drawings to necessary authorities for approvals.
    • Co-ordinate all functions of design and engineering departments to ensure timely completion of the project.
    • Resolving any challenges with Clients and Sub-Contractor ensuring an efficient hand over to the client.
    • You will ideally be professionally qualified with a Degree in Building Services, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an Engineering, Design or Construction Environment. Holding a Project Management qualification such as Prince 2, APM or Agile would be advantageous.
    • An ability to produce a detailed Design, Construction and Commissioning programme.
