Job Description

Senior Surveyor/Commercial Manager required for a specialist refurbishment and fitout contractor to be site based on luxury residential projects in central London. This is a permanent position for the right candidate, who must have a minimum of an HNC in construction and have experience working for a main contractor on similar projects.

The role will involve all elements of cost control, and will comprise general surveying duties, placing subcontract orders, preparing monthly valuations, pricing variations, authorising subcontractor payments, buying materials, managing hired plant, preparation of O & Ms, health and safety records and day to day site administration. Estimating new projects and preparation of bids will also be required.

The candidate must be presentable, communicate clear and concisely, be fully IT literate and hold a full clean driving license.

He / she will report directly to the Managing Director.

    What you'll do:

    • Experience or Proficiency in other technical software packages (i.e. IES / Dialux / Hevacomp)
    • Excellent written English and Report writing skills
    • Experience using AutoCAD & BIM
    • Proficient with core Microsoft Office365 applications
