Sustainability Consultant - To £45K Package

Notable projects include net zero carbon science and research labs, naturally ventilated data centres, net zero carbon masterplans and ultra-low energy universities and museums.

As a Sustainability Consultant, you'll work with clients and help them with understand what they need to do in order for their projects to achieve a true zero carbon. You'll carry out complex building physics and energy modelling simulations to ensure the buildings you design, remain best in class when it comes to whole life carbon and occupant health and wellbeing.

Key duties

  • Provide analysis and R&D activities regarding Net Zero carbon initiatives.
  • Liaise with architects and help bring their ideas to life by illustrating concepts and prepare written reports and eye-catching presentations.
  • Attend design team meetings and keep clients updated on project progress.
  • Assist the director with fee bids, fee proposals and resource planning.
  • Work in a team of Environmental Design and Sustainability Engineers to continue to push the boundaries of green building design.
  • Carry out renewable energy systems assessments and produce energy strategies and energy statements.
  • Provide analysis and R&D activities regarding Net Zero carbon initiatives.
  • Ensure current projects meet either local or international planning regulations or environmental bench marking standards.
  • Assist with LEED BREEAM, WELL or Nabers building certification assessments.
  • Carry out R&D projects into new materials, technologies or modern methods of construction.
  • See projects through from concept to post occupancy evaluations.
  • Compare actual, versus predicted levels of occupant health and wellbeing and operational energy.
  • Attend CPD workshops, presentations or industry events to maintain a good network of contacts in the industry.
