Graduate Electrical Design Engineer - To £30K Package

Graduate Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services) required to join a design led, building services consultancy based in Zone 1, Central London.

Having recently moved to a larger office in mid-2020 they remain very optimistic about the future and are continuing to secure numerous high-profile projects across the UK and abroad.

  • Design of Electrical Services directly into Revit.
  • Encourage and promote the use of innovative, passive and low energy solutions.
  • Attending DTM's and prepare hand sketches to illustrate concepts.
  • Assist with preparing drawings in AutoCAD when required.
  • Producing innovative concept and detailed designs.
  • Producing specifications and schedules.
  • Overseeing the installation stage of the project to develop your understanding of MEP Services.
  • Analyse a buildings post occupancy energy consumption; use this information on the next project to promote greater building performance engineering.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Building Services, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Architectural and Environmental Engineering.
  • Minimum of one years' experience in a similar role, ie working as a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer for a Building Services or multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.
  • Able to two of the following software packages; AutoCAD, Amtech, Cymap, Dialux, Relux, AGi32, Elavate, Hevacomp, Revit, IES, Navisworks or Bluebeam.

    I'm looking for an Electrical Associate for a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in Zone 1. As a key part of the Senior Management board have full autonomy over the electrical team and have a significant influence into the future direction of the firm.

    You'll work directly with end user clients as you lead the Electrical team to design, plan, manage and deliver projects across the UK.

    Current projects ranging from £5M to £150M and include major new builds and also complex upgrade, extension or refurbishment projects.


    • Degree qualified and preferably Chartered.
    • Minimum of eight years' experience working for a mult-disciplinary or building services consultancy.
    • Previous experience seeing projects from inception to construction.
    • Able to manage a team, mange projects and mange client's expectations.

    Situated in West London's shopping and entertainment hub, this MEP consultancy has remained very busy throughout 2020. They have a fantastic Senior Leadership team in place and a very loyal and committed client base.

    Now, due to a steadily growing order book consisting of major education, healthcare, mixed-use and large-scale redevelopment projects they are looking for an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer for their London office.

    Having moved to a new, larger office earlier this year they have enough office space to ensure that all 20 engineers (just in their London office) can work safely. Their London office is modern, full of natural light and has a very high-spec, biophilic themed fit-out.

    The Directors are firm believers in trust and not micro-manging staff so it's up to you to choose you work. Work mainly remotely until March, or if you prefer to be office based you are welcome to pop into their office as many days as you wish.

    They do have onsite shower facilities, secure bike storage facilities; an awesome canteen and a very impressive break out area. They also have a sun-drenched outdoor courtyard (yes even in winter) that still receives their lighting fast WIFI!

    The role will involve joining an established Engineering Management team, ensuring and maintaining effective management systems and procedures in the delivery and continuity of service of the Mechanical, Electrical, Transport and Public Health Services to the Tenant, while protecting and enhancing landlord assets within the building/estate.

    Contributing to the management of Health, Safety and Wellbeing for all users of the building/estate.

    They are currently recruiting for an immediate start on one of London's largest estates/portfolios.

    The role would suit either an established Senior Engineering Manager or Engineering Manager looking to take a step up.

    Key Responsibilities:
