Sustainability Consultant - BREEAM / Passivhaus / Circular Economy / Net Zero / LCA.

Up to £40K Profit Share 25 days annual leave Hybrid Working Policy

Due to planned growth, the Partner of this specialist Energy and Sustainability Consultancy has asked me to find them an additional Sustainability Consultant / Sustainability Engineer for their London studio.

Current projects range from listed buildings, commercial offices, hospitals, universities and master plans.

Although they are a small business with 20 technical employees (i.e. engineers, modellers, consultants) they punch well above their weight in terms of project size, and have delivered several £400M schemes.

As a Sustainability Consultant / Sustainability Engineer you'll be mentored to become a well-rounded individual with strong technical skills and a good commercial mindset. You'll develop a good understanding of Sustainability (BREEAM / Passivhaus / Nabers / Net Zero / LCA) and Energy Modelling as well as developing an understanding of other related topics such as ESG and Embodied Carbon.

You'll enjoy working in an established team (most employees have been there for 3 - 8 years) and enjoy direct access to clients and architects. The team is a very diverse culturally and actively encourages individuals to freely speak their mind if they have any ideas on how the business could be improved.

They offer hybrid, flexible working and encourage their employees to decide if they would like to do two, or three days a week in the office.

  • Good understanding of energy, carbon and sustainability technologies.
  • Previous experience providing clients with advice on what they need to do to meet NZC requirements.
  • Able to provide clients with expert advice on BREEAM, LCA, Net Zero and Embodied Carbon.
  • Degree qualified in a suitable engineering, environmental, architectural or energy discipline.
  • Able to use IES to simulate and model a variety of building types.
