Job Description

Sustainability Consultant - To £35K

Rather than just getting stuck doing BREEAM Assessments, this well-established Building Services Consultancy will allow you to also get involved in assisting the Building Physics with Dynamic Thermal Modelling and also Environmental Design and Analysis using IESVe.

You'll work closely with some of the UK's leading property developers, investors and blue-chip clients and help them develop more sustainable property portfolios.

You'll work on a broad range of projects such as commercial offices, hotels, mixed-use developments and high-rise residential towers, all of which have a huge focus on designing for greater performance.

Please note this role will suit a Sustainability Consultant / Sustainability Engineers with previous experience in BREEAM who has worked for a engineering consultancy or specialist sustainability consultancy.

Requirements

  • MSc, MEng, BEng or BSc in a relevant field such as Architectural Engineering, Environmental Design and Engineering, Building Services or similar.
  • At least one years' experience carrying out BREEAM Assessments.
  • Good awareness of passive design, LETI, LCA and the Circular Economy.

    Requirements

    • Previous experience using evidence backed, modelling software (such as PHPP / IESVe etc) to design low or zero carbon buildings.
    • Degree qualified in a relevant Architectural, Environmental, Physics or Building Services field.
    • Familiar with Net Zero Carbon strategies and roadmaps.
    • Good overall knowledge of materials, energy performance, thermal comfort, overheating, daylighting, indoor air quality and Part L 2021.
