I have an excellent opportunity for you to work with a stable, privately owned Contractor who are in the news for all the right reasons, the owners and Directors within the group are exceptionally hands on supporting all their staff offering career development whilst remaining visible on a daily basis.

The Data Infrastructure business supports an extremely structured Building Services Contractor who has remained busy and demonstrated steady growth throughout the pandemic highlighting their strengths within the M&E / Data and IT sectors where they have delivered works on landmark buildings including 20 Fenchurch Street (Walkie Talkie), Shard Place and Lloyds of London.

You should be qualified to Prince2 Practitioner, Fluke Testing, demonstrate a solid and diverse working history of Cabling Systems including Cat5, Cat6 and Cat 6A fibre optics, Fire Alarm and Security Systems, Containment Systems, Fibre and Copper installations (Design & Build and Fit-out) highlighting key P&L skills and the ability to get the best out of your Project Team.

Any previous experience within a Data Centre will be advantageous.

    Having the best of both worlds, you can either work on a PAYE or Limited Company basis. Initially you be based on a Commercial Project in London on a continuation where my Client has already completed the Cat A & Cat B works, you will be responsible for circa. £400k that is due for handover in March. This is a great opportunity to see why this business has been successful throughout the pandemic where no-one was made redundant or furloughed.

    Following on from this Project you will be based on another Commercial Project that has been secured in North London, circa. £12m that is due to run into 2023.

    With a wealth of experience spanning over 50 years the Directors of this M&E Contractor have developed an excellent relationship with Clients and have successfully delivered Projects well within timescale with excellent margins, building excellent relationships where repeat business is a common occurrence.

    There is no glass ceiling here, if you are looking to take it to the top, this Client will support and encourage you in every step. If managing projects and demonstrating good profit margins is your bag this is also fully rewarded.

  • Mechanical Contracts Manager (Building Services)

    You will be a Mechanical Contracts Manager who will take responsibility for a Region that generally involves the areas between the M1 and M11 from North London / Hertfordshire to East Midlands. A central residence around Northamptonshire / Buckinghamshire would be preferred for limiting daily travel distance.

    You will oversee various MEPH Projects ranging from £1M – £15M (MEP) to an approx. value of £10-20m per annum. You should demonstrate a key knowledge and understanding of Contract Commercial and Operational Terms and Conditions.

    Other duties will include:

    • Managing and Supporting Teams of Project Managers, QHSE Manager, Supervisors, QS and Operatives to suit workload and Clients requirements
    • Working and communicating alongside other Contract Managers
    • Reporting directly to the Branch Operations Manager
    • Assisting with Plant and Package Procurement on Projects

    This Client is an established Building Services Contractor who have been delivering high profile M&E Projects for over 65 years achieving a turnover in excess of £140m. They pride themselves on staff retention where many individuals have progressed through Apprenticeships.

    They have remained extremely active throughout the pandemic holding a presence within diverse sectors including Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Leisure and Government Buildings.
