M&E Project Engineers & Supervisors - (Building Services) – Residential –London

The Residential market continues to flourish. I am currently working on various new project awards in London. M&E values up to £15m, current schemes are scheduled to run into 2025 with additional phases completing in 2028.

I am keen to speak with M&E Building Services Project Engineers and Supervisors who can demonstrate a solid and stable background within the Residential sector working with M&E Contractors.

Mechanical Project Engineer - SW London

You will be a Mechanical Project Engineer looking to work within a structured and balanced M&E Building Services Project team initially based on the recently awarded high profile Wimbledon Park Project for the AELTC which is due for completion circa. 2026.

The project boasts a Green, Sustainable Environment on a “Site of Nature Conversation” over an existing golf course where tree restoration is clearly displayed along with the creation and enhancement of diverse ecological habitats and a new Parkland Show Court that will demonstrate all aspects of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.

Ideally, you will be professionally qualified (HND / Degree) and able to demonstrate a stable employment history working for a reputable Building Services Contractor where you have had key involvement on Projects circa. £2-10m (M&E).

You will work within a business who have already achieved a turnover set for year end, where many of the Directors have progressed from Apprentices, staff retention and career development are strongly supported here.

This business has continued to deliver landmark buildings predominately in London within Commercial (High Rise), Data Centres & Healthcare to name a few spaces. They have held a presence within M&E Building Services Engineering for over 75 years.

They have excelled during the pandemic retaining all their staff and not having to furlough anyone, a testament to their stability and confidence moving forward and strengthened in sectors they are familiar with whist opening new doors in other spaces.

Can you demonstrate where you have previously delivered cutting edge M&E Building Services Projects typically £15-25m?

Coupled with a stable employment history seeing the job through from inception to handover on time and within budget?

Mechanically biased with a good understanding Electrically.

If so, we need to talk about your next project which will be a high profile, prestigious £25m Commercial build where you will take full P&L encompassing all aspects of Building Services Engineering including Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, Ductwork and Fire Services.

This scheme is part of the first new town centre in London for 50 years that over the next 12 years will develop into a 53-acre masterplan including a new Town Square and Retail Parade.

Up to 3,000 new net-zero carbon homes, and 2 million sq ft of workspace accommodating 20,000 workers, a new leisure centre, with swimming pools, sports courts and gym.

35% of the masterplan will be public open space, creating 16 extra acres of parks and places to pause and relax.

Health & Safety Advisor (Building Services)

My client is an extremely steady and stable Building Services Contractor who have a secured pipeline of £40m (M&E) for this year with other project awards imminent.

They also demonstrate an impressive track record in staff retention where many staff have been supported and grown and developed their careers from Apprenticeships.

They are keen to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor who will report to the Line Manager (HSE Group Manager) where training and support is strongly supported within the business.

The role is primarily multi-site based, typically working across specialist M&E projects in London & The South.

You will demonstrate excellent communication skills to be able to liaise with people on all levels, have a natural ability to influence others and have a high level of personal integrity.

You will need to be IT literate and be a competent Microsoft Office User.

Ideally with 2-3 Years H&S experience with a comparable M&E company in the industry and a recognised qualification (NEBOSH Construction Certificate or similar as a minimum)

A knowledge of ISO systems and their implementation is desirable.

Typical duties will include:

  • Carrying out Health & Safety Audits, inspections and write reports on H&S performance
  • Collate H&S data, statistics and implement various H&S initiatives at a site level to help develop performance and cultural improvement
  • Check on all safety and quality calibration compliance
  • Ensure compliance with H&S legislation, industry standards
  • Create suitable and sufficient Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Review suitability of Sub Contractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Receive client H&S reports and attend internal and client’s safety meetings and communicate & implement any actions required
