Human Capital Solutions are working in Partnership with Lagom Interiors to recruit a Junior Quantity Surveyor.

Lagom Interiors are a specialist refurbishment and fitout contractor, the successful individual will be based on a luxury residential contract in Central London. The position is for a year’s contract and could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.

You will have a minimum of an HNC in Construction and at least 2 to 3 years’ experience working for a Main Contractor. The role will involve general surveying duties including assisting with the placing of subcontract orders, carrying out monthly valuations, paying subcontractors, buying materials, managing hired plant, preparation of O & Ms, health and safety records and day to day site administration.

You must be presentable, speak good English, be fully IT literate and hold a full clean driving license.

    Sustainability / Building Physics Engineer - To £45K

    Why stay in a role where you are pigeon holed doing just Building Physics or Sustainability or Life Cycle Assessments; when you can do all three? Reporting to the Director of Environmental Design you'll take a lead role for their sustainability consulting services from the feasibility, through design and finally during the construction phases.

    You'll undertake assessments for sustainable building certifications including BREEAM, Well or LEED and also carrying out Building Performance modelling and simulation using IES Virtual Environment.

    You'll work with clients and develop bespoke sustainability strategies to ensure their developments achieve planning requirements and their overall sustainability goals are achieved.

    Key Tasks

    • Early-stage energy and daylighting analysis.
    • Carrying out overheating analysis in line with BB101, CIBSE Guide A, TM52 and TM59 criteria.
    • Producing heat loss / heat gain calculations.
    • Carrying out energy assessments and LZC feasibility studies.
    • Predicted energy assessments | CIBSE TM54.
    • Predicting and measuring embodied and whole-life carbon in buildings.
    • Monitoring the carbon through the design and construction stages and suggesting solutions to minimise or offset carbon.
    • Advising clients on how to achieve the required credits to meet BREEAM UK New Construction (Non-domestic buildings) requirements.

    Revit MEP Technician - (Can be 100% home based) to £45K Package

    Due to growth, I'm looking for a Revit MEP Technician for this medium sized, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in London.

    They are happy to consider employing someone in a 100% home-based role, providing you are based somewhere in the UK.

    Since Covid, all their MEP Technicians and BIM Managers have been home based and they have all the systems, VPNs, and policies in place to make working from home effective; and they still do also provide ongoing training and support.

    However, if you prefer to be around other people; you're welcome to work from their London office two to three days a week and interact with the team of around 40 MEP, Energy and Sustainability, Civil and Structural Engineers.

    As a Revit MEP Technician and MEP Co-ordinator you must be able to manage your own time effectively and able to complete projects or packages of work accurately and on time.


    • Advanced knowledge of Revit MEP and a working knowledge of AutoCAD.
    • Previous mixed-use, commercial, education, hotel, or residential project experience.
    • At least three years' experience in the building services industry, either for a consultancy or design and build contractor.

    The initial interview with the BIM Manager and M&E Director will be over Teams with the view of you starting within a 5 - 6 weeks; or sooner if you can!
