Job Description

Sustainability Engineer - Circa £30K to £38 Package

I'm working with a well-established, MEP and Sustainability Consultancy based in Buckinghamshire to find them a Sustainability Engineer.

This will be a diverse role involving Building Physics (Energy Modelling) and also BREEAM, however will initially be more focussed on Energy Modelling.

They are looking for a reliable Sustainability Engineer who has good communication skills, a good appreciation of building services, environmental analysis modelling, BREEAM and British standards.

Key tasks;

  • Using IES or TAS to carry for environmental modelling, overheating studies and daylight calculations.
  • Attending client and design team meetings.
  • Support the Senior Sustainability Engineers with the delivery of energy & sustainability project design strategies.
  • Develop an awareness of BREEAM.
  • Liaise with the MEP Engineers and ensure all projects meet Part L, national & local planning requirements.
  • Assist in producing energy strategies and design statements.
  • Assist in optimising the integration of Revit to IES for earlier analysis and BIM purposes.
  • Occasionally carry out energy audits and POE's on completed projects.
