You will work within a team of highly experienced and talented Engineers who have all have joined my client from leading consultancies.

You will work as part of a team undertaking full detailed design and project management a broad range of high profile commercial projects. Projects are varied and interesting and will allow you to develop an understanding of the client-side commercial property sector that will set you apart from your peers.

The role will give you direct access to clients, working on the clients behalf as part of the client team. This is a real opportunity to take ownership of your own client base, developing an entrepreneurial approach to client's needs and gain a clear understanding of the commercial drivers behind property ownership and development.

Role Purpose:

  • Key Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Carry out full detailed design in accordance with industry guides.
    • Project manage and supervise projects, co-ordinating with other engineering and real estate disciplines.
    • Prepare specifications, reports, design drawings and budget costs to programme.
    • Supervise project works on site, workmanship and testing.
    • Due diligence surveys, dilapidations, forward maintenance planning, audit and reporting.

They operate a very flat structure, so you'll have easy access to the three Directors and; their business model means that you'll also get to partner directly with end user clients, rather than being appointed by a contractor.

You'll have full autonomy and accountability for every project you undertake; and therefore, be able to influence its direction and overall success.

You'll get to work with clients from feasibility all the way through to post occupancy and act as a single point of contact; ensuring projects are delivered on time, scope and budget.

As they cover every aspect of building services from MEP design, building life cycle management, commissioning, validations, condition surveys, building performance engineering and BIM; you'll definitely develop into a very well rounded and commercially aware engineer.

In addition to a 100% remote role, they also offer 25 days leave, a 37.5-hour week, pension, payment of 1 x professional membership and a generous; performance based annual bonus.

Requirements

  • At least three years' experience as a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer.
  • Able to manage your own time.
  • Previous experience in both new build and refurbishment projects.
  • Ideally, able to use either Hevacomp, IES or Revit MEP.
