An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a well-established, high-performing MEP Building Services Contractor renowned for delivering complex, high-value projects across a range of sectors including Life Sciences, Mission Critical/Data Centres, Commercial, Industrial, Education, and Mixed-Use Developments.

With a strong reputation for collaborative relationships and consistent repeat business from Tier 1 clients, this contractor is known for its quality-led approach and commitment to excellence in project delivery.

The Role:

Your first assignment will be leading Health & Safety on a major Data Centre project in Hertfordshire, with a Building Services (M&E) package valued over £100m and running through to December 2025. Future projects are planned across London, including large Mixed-Use schemes, Commercial New Builds, and Life Sciences facilities valued between £10m – £125m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and manage Health & Safety audits, inspections, and reporting across active sites.
  • Work closely with the HSE team to track and analyse safety performance data and implement proactive initiatives.
  • Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, standards, and project-specific requirements.
  • Develop, review, and update Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Attend and contribute to client and internal safety meetings, ensuring all agreed actions are implemented and communicated effectively.
  • Promote a positive safety culture across sites and lead the drive for continuous improvement.
