Intermediate Mechanical (Building Services) Design Engineer – to £45K + Package - London

Clients include government agencies, corporations, financial institutions and property companies from across the UK and Europe in the commercial, retail, healthcare, residential and leisure sectors.

The Building Consultancy team are looking for an Associate Director able to work with their surveying teams to survey, interrogate and report on the condition, opportunities and sustainable building engineering services solutions in property acquisition, development and disposal.

Requirements:

We are looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join an exciting and successful Building Consultancy team, you will support the building surveyors in providing Mechanical building engineering consultancy services and advice that augments and compliments the businesses building surveying activities.

You will work on a variety of project work and this broad client mix offers opportunities of travel around the UK and Europe with exposure to a diverse range of property and project types.

Applicant must have proven design experience in the M&E Building Services industry and be looking to continue their technical skills whilst also developing their client facing skills.

The successful candidate must have a proven ability to work within a team and be looking to work towards leading projects in a client facing capacity and completing engineering reports, detailed design, and site supervision.

The ability to liaise and communicate effectively is essential. As is the ability to support and explain engineering matters to the building surveyors who you will be working with.

In summary, the Intermediate Mechanical Engineer will be working as part of a property advisor team,

contributing to the professional advice given to the client is respect of the investment, purchase or disposal of property.

The role has an open career path and full support will be give across the business for progression to be achieved.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be comfortable in all client facing scenarios and able to undertake the following:

  • Mechanical building services design/feasibility and scheme design reports
  • Undertake property surveys
  • Produce due diligence deports (acquisition/dilapidations/development)
  • Energy audits and management
  • Provide expert advice in the field of building services
  • Fit out and refurbishment strategy and design
